Billfish tournament reels in the big ones
Head over to Bay Point in Panama City for the Bay Point Invitational Billfish Tournament and 40/40 Shootout July 6-10.
The 5-day tournament also includes Al Hubbard Kid’s Fishing Experience, a Sponsor Village, “Taste of the Town” – with great, fresh seafood from local restaurants and artists colony. Public Parking is available daily from 3:30pm to closing. Our parking attendants are volunteers from the Bay County Sheriff’s Office Junior Deputy and Explorer Program and 100% of any voluntary parking contribution you wish to make goes to support their organization.

8:00 am – 6:00 pm Tournament Registration & Optional Entries – 30 Degree Blue Afternoon Tournament Boats begin arriving to Bay Point Marina 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm Private “LAUNCH Party!” for anglers, crew, sponsors and invited guests. Yes, this is your night to cut up and have a great time. 7 pm – till on the Pool Deck @ 30 Degree Blue. Live music with Eric Heatherly . Food, Drink, Music and a few surprises will be in store for all.
Thursday, July 7th
8:00 am – 2:00 pm Tournament Registration & Optional Entries – 30 Degree Blue 11:00 am – 1:15 pm Kick Off Lunch – Marina Pool Deck / 30 Degree Blue Enjoy a casual lunch and catch up with old friends 1:30 pm – 2:00 pm Mandatory Captains Meeting – Marina Pool Deck / 30 Degree Blue Reading of the Official Rules for The Invitational & The 40/40 Shootout – One Representative from each boat must be present with photo ID 3:00 pm Firing of the Cannon as boats leave Bay Point. Opening Ceremonies 6:00 pm Weigh-In Scales open for Bay Point Invitational & 40/40 Shootout 8:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. “Celebrity Chef” – enjoy tasty samples of the Gulf’s finest seafood! 10:00 p.m. Weigh-In Scales close – Tournament boats must be inside #1 & #2 markers 10:30 pm – until?
