Artisanal cheese making and Greek yogurt workshop May 31

Registration is now open for anyone interested in learning more about making cheese and Greek yogurt at home. The Artisanal Cheese Making & Greek Yogurt Workshop will be held on Thursday, May 31st from 2:00-4:30 pm at the UF/IFAS Walton County Extension office located at 732 N 9th Street, DeFuniak Springs.

Participants will learn to make and store homemade mozzarella, ricotta, cherve/fromage blanc and Greek yogurt. Nutrition, Food safety and recommended sanitation methods, will be discussed. Making cheese and yogurt is a great way to use local ingredients, save money, and be creative in the kitchen.

There is a charge of $25.00 to cover the material and supplies, plus you will receive supplies to make cheese on your own at home.
