Looking at this spirited little guy, one might wonder if he was named for his dashing good looks or the energy that keeps him going and going like the Energizer Bunny. A Wire Haired Terrier mix, Dasher has enough character for a dog three times his size, a trait that made him perfect for the Unconditional Love program at the Bay County Correctional Facility. Cheerfully greeting everyone he meets, Dasher was a huge hit with both inmates and staff during his time in the prison, and he never lacked for a welcoming lap to curl up on. Of course he passed his Canine Good Citizenship certification with flying colors and now he’s back at Alaqua Animal Refuge waiting for a special someone and a forever home.
