The Friends of Camp Helen citizen support organization invites you to join in for the first Witch’s Paddle on Lake Powell! At 5 – 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022. Wear your best witch, wizard or flying monkey costume for a fun paddle leaving from the shoreline. Enhancements in the works at Comander’s Landing on the Choctawhatchee River

New enhancements are about to begin at Comander’s Landing on the Choctawhatchee River. On Nov. 9, 2021, The Walton County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) awarded $711,252.35 funding to Winterfell Construction, Inc. to complete the project in Ponce deLeon. Enhancements will include a handicap canoe/kayak launch, kayak/canoe stations, boardwalk, overnight shelter, restroom (raised portlet), and an educational kiosk site.
