South Walton Fire District hosting Caring and Sharing Angel Tree through Dec. 5

South Walton Fire District is once again sponsoring the Caring and Sharing Angel Tree. Each holiday season the “Angel Tree” is filled with names of children throughout Walton County that otherwise may not receive Christmas gifts without your assistance. “Angels” will be available for selection beginning Oct. 30 from 9a.m- 4 p.m. at Station 3/Headquarters, 911 North County Highway 393, Santa Rosa Beach. Pioneer Day at Rocky Bayou State Park Nov. 18

Date/time: Sat., Nov. 18 – 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Come out and learn how the pioneers worked and lived in our local area. Fire truck pull at Gulf Place in Santa Rosa Beach Nov. 4

Gulf Place will be hosting their inaugural 30-A Firetruck Pull on Saturday, Nov. 4, beginning at 4 p.m. Teams will be made up of ten people with each team member paying $10 to participate. Competing team classes will include men’s, women’s, co-ed, firefighters, and kids. Teams will be pulling the fire truck a total of twenty feet and the team with the fastest pull time wins.
