Walton County fishing report for July 14

Fish is on!

Fresh: River is good!  Lots of bream! Danny Copeland told me a couple of anglers got out early and caught 65 bream right away fly fishing with popping bugs.

Bay: Big drums around 2-50 lbs., speckled trout, some redfish

Saltwater: Fish is on! Offshore: King mackerel, Spanish mackerel over near St. Andrews. Folks catching bonita on cigar minnows at the pier.

“A hot as it is, who would of thought the fishing would be as good as it is,” Danny said.
