Walton County fishing report for Aug. 4

Fish is on!

Fresh: River is still low but lots of bream being caught through the roof! Catfish being caught even with the slower river.

Bay: Lots of redfish showing up. Folks also catching black drum and shark. Mullet also showing up in the bay.

Saltwater: Lots of big king mackerel, some grouper. Heard that they are talking about opening up another snapper season. That would be great to happen in time for the Destin Fishing Rodeo in Oct.

Get out early! Shrimp is getting bigger. Come by the shop, we’ve got some.
