South Walton Fire District commemorates the anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001 attacks

Personnel from the South Walton Fire District paused in a moment of silence Sept. 11, 2011 to commemorate the 10-year anniversary Sept. 11, 2001.

At 8:46 a.m., the time of the attack on the World Trade Center’s North Tower, the moment of silence was observed as dispatch announced the remembrance over the radio.

T-shirts were worn by SWFD personnel to honor the 343 firefighters that sacrificed their lives on 911.
