Nick’s Seafood Restaurant is hosting a fishing tournament in conjunction with the Freeport Bayfest on Sept. 20. Entry fee is $50 per angler and the weight in location is at Hammock Bay Sports Complex in Freeport.
TOURNAMENT TIME: Safe light in the Choctawhatchee Bay, morning of September 20, 2014. Tournament will end at 4 p.m.
WEIGH-INS: 3 – 4 p.m. *NO FISH WILL BE WEIGHED BEFORE 3 p.m.
SPECIES: Speckled Trout, Redfish, and all other freshwater/saltwater fish species that are caught in the Choctawhatchee Bay or Estuaries thereof.
SCORING: Based on TOTAL WEIGHT of species per division.
GEAR & FISHING METHOD: Hook and line, live and artificial bait. Cast net may be used to catch Mullet and baitfish.
All Anglers are subject to polygraph examination.
CANCELLATION: Tournament Director may cancel or postpone the tournament at his discretion, not limited to inclement weather and registered participants.
PAYOUTS: Payouts for each division are based upon a 50 angler roster. In the event that there are less than 50 participating anglers, payouts will be based upon percentage.
TOURNAMENT DIVISIONS: Speckled Trout & Redfish Division: Combined total weight of two (2) Speckled Trout (one trout may exceed 20”), AND one (1) Redfish (must be legal slot size; 18” -27”).

All Species Division: Combined total weight of five (5) Choctawhatchee Bay species (NO LARGER than 20” in length.)

Junior Division: Junior Anglers 14 yrs. and younger compete in their own division and the overall division. All junior anglers will be recognized for their catch.
