“The South Walton Fire District is currently assisting the State Fire Marshal in determining the cause of the fire,” said South Walton Fire District Chief Rick Talbert.

The fire is now contained. The homes were rented to vacationers and emergency services were called after a tenant saw flames coming out of back of a neighboring home.

One patient was taken to the hospital for further observation. County emergency services are assisting the renters with finding new accommodations.
