Bream World Championships in Red Bay a huge success

Red Bay Grocery and Nick’s Seafood Restaurant hosted their 7th Annual Bream World Championships on Saturday, June 13. More than a dozen teams weighed in at the popular tournament. Despite a power outage at Red Bay Grocery, the weigh in still took place without a hitch. Anglers fished along the Choctawhatchee River area.

Prize categories
 included biggest bream, heaviest stringer, non-bream species, junior angler and lady angler divisions.

The winners are:
Non bream species:
1st place – Team Fat Tuesday – 6.33 lbs.
2nd place – Team Hooked Up – 2.70 lbs.

Biggest bream:
1st place – Larry Lemieux – 1.30 lbs.
2nd place – Team Fat Tuesday .99 lbs.

Largest harvest of six fish:
1st place – Larry Lemieux – 5.69 lbs.
2nd place – Team Hovey – 4.67 lbs.
Heaviest string:
Team Hooked Up – 3.97 lbs.

Non bream:
Team Fat Tuesday – 6.33 lbs.
Junior division:
Team Howe – 2
