The Department of Environmental Protection’s Friends of the Emerald Coast State Parks, Inc. and the Mattie M. Kelly Cultural & Environmental Institute of Northwest Florida State College will sponsor the Choctawhatchee Estuary Festival at Rocky Bayou State Park. This family event will feature fun educational activities and displays showcasing our coastal environment. Cheer on the crab races and get your hands dirty as you make fish printed T-shirts to take home. Then learn about local critters, ground water and red tides at informational displays. Winners of an amateur photo contest will also be announced.
Fees: Park entrance fees will be waived to participants.

Directions: From the west: Take I-10 east to Highway 85, travel south until you reach Highway 20. Go east on Highway 20. Park will be approximately five miles on the left. From the east: Take I-10 west to Highway 331. Travel south until you reach Highway 20. Go west on Highway 20 approximately 25 miles until you see signs for park on right.
