Chicken and rib competition held at the Lakeyard
The Smokey J Café and DeFuniak Springs Business Professionals Association are hosting a chicken and rib barbecue competition on July 4.
The cook-off will be held at the Lakeyard on Circle Drive in DeFuniak Springs. Set up is 7 a.m., with turn in at 2 p.m. Awards will be held at 3:30 p.m. The two judging categories will be chicken and ribs. Entry fee is $25 per team with $350 in prizes and trophies with celebrity judges. Deadline is 7 p.m. on July 3rd.
